Hello! I’m Natasha…
…and I started writing the Conversations on Love newsletter in September 2017. I published a book, also called Conversations on Love, in 2021; since then it has been published in over 12 countries and languages.
Today, twice a month, I interview a writer or expert who something valuable to say about relationships. My hope is that these conversations uncover some useful truths about love in all its forms - not only the romantic kind, but the love between parents and children, siblings and friends. Even between strangers.
In some ways, starting to investigate love has made me realise how impossible it is, how many moving factors there are at any one time, how hard it is to give another human the space to change (and to trust they will give it to you in return), how terrifying it is to love and be loved - and to keep on doing it. But I’ve also learnt that the uncomfortable vulnerability love requires is also what makes it extraordinary. The more you dig into the topic of love, the greater the gifts it gives you.
If you want to pay more attention to the love in your life, join me on my journey of investigating love and subscribe to Conversations on Love on Substack.
ABOUT ME…
I am an author, journalist and editor. I published my first book, Conversations on Love, with Viking Books (Penguin) in Spring 2021. The book combined personal essays and intimate, revealing conversations with authors and experts, and asked three key questions: How do we find love? How do we sustain it? And how do we survive when we lose it?
To continue learning about love and relationships, I studied an introductory course to couples psychotherapy at the Tavistock relationships centre in 2018, spent a year and a half working at the number one app for couples, Paired, until June 2026, and have continued to interview people about love in my Substack newsletter.
In the future, I hope to become a wedding celebrant, and to keep telling people’s love stories.
