Hello! I’m Natasha…

…and I started writing the Conversations on Love newsletter in September 2017.

Twice a month, I interview a writer or expert who something valuable to say about relationships. My hope is that these conversations uncover some useful truths about love in all its forms - not only the romantic kind, but the love between parents and children, siblings and friends. Even between strangers.

In some ways, starting to investigate love has made me realise how impossible it is, how many moving factors there are at any one time, how hard it is to give another human the space to change (and to trust they will give it to you in return), how terrifying it is to love and be loved - and to keep on doing it. And yet, I’ve also learnt that the uncomfortable vulnerability it requires is precisely what makes it extraordinary. The more you dig into the topic of love, the greater the gifts it gives you.

I am an author, journalist and features director at Red magazine. I am currently writing my first book, Conversations on Love, which has grown out of the newsletter of the same name and will be published by Viking Books (Penguin) in Spring 2021. The book will combine personal essays and intimate, revealing conversations with authors and experts, taking us through the complexities of three key questions: How do we find love? How do we sustain it? And how do we survive when we lose it?

To further my understanding of love and relationships, I studied an introductory course to psychotherapy at the Tavistock relationships centre in 2018.
